The Eastern Georgian Bay Stewardship Council is pleased to announce the completion of construction activities related to the Moon River Walleye Spawning Bed Enhancement Project.

This project is the centre-piece of the over-arching Moon River Walleye Rehabilitation Plan, and lays a solid foundation to continue and improve on other management actions to rehabilitate this population.

The Council wishes to acknowledge the tremendous contribution made by many partners whose cumulative efforts brought this project to fruition.  They include:

• Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (OMNR) - Parry Sound District
• OMNR – Upper Great Lakes Management Unit – Lake Huron Office
• Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve
• Georgian Bay Land Trust
• Great Lakes Conservancy
• Ontario Power Generation – Evergreen Energy
• Member associations of the GBA: Sans Souci and Copperhead Association and Woods Bay Cottage Association
• Moon River Walleye Association
• Support funding from the Canada-Ontario Agreement (COA)
• And numerous private donors who financially supported the project.
