Spawning Habitat Rehabilitation Program

 

The Spawning Habitat Rehabilitation Program is a wide-ranging program that could potentially include any fish species present within the waters of the Eastern Georgian Bay Stewardship Council.  (A detailed description of the program is provided in the program outline below.)  In recent years the Council has focused on enhancing walleye spawning habitat in south-eastern Georgian Bay and smallmouth bass spawning habitat throughout the Council area.

Funding for this vital program has been through a combination of government grants and private donations.  You too can help though a tax-deductible donation to this program or by participating in our Smallmouth Bass Nest Creation Project.  Please see our fundraising and bass nest creation brochures below.
